This conversion will have the following two consequences: 1. After this update, old Firmware Updaters will NOT function! You must use the 2008R1 Updater. 2. The conversion process will require more time than typical (could take up to 10 - 15 mins) Banner strongly recommends you back up the sensor's firmware. Prior to starting a firmware Update sequence! Note: The 2006R4D and 2006R5C Firmware Updaters (located on www.bannerengineering.com) will support a conversion from 2008R1 back to the 2006R4 or 2006R5 releases. Important Note for down-converting firmware The Firmware Updater must convert the sensor's internal directory structure to support the old style of inspection (.inp files). This down conversion will have the following three consequences: 1. Inspections in locations 13 and higher (9 and higher on a P4BCR) will be discarded. 2. After the downgrade, old Firmware Updaters will NOT function! 3. The conversion process will require more time than typical (could take up to 10 - 15 mins) Banner strongly recommends you back up the sensor's firmware. Note: The 2006R4D and 2006R5C Firmware Updaters (located on www.bannerengineering.com) will support a conversion from any old firmware version to the 2006R4 or 2006R5 releases.
