System Requirements


CD Menu Program

Automatic Loading:
Manual Loading:
If the CD Menu Program does not autorun when the CD is inserted (or the media equalivalent is unpacked) the following steps can be used to manually start the CD Menu Program.
  1. Click the Windows 'Start' button on the Windows Task Bar
  2. Click the 'Run' menu option
  3. Click the 'Browse' button on the 'Run' Dialog
  4. Navigate to the drive or path where the PresencePLUS Vision media is located (this should be in the root of the drive or directory where the media is located)
  5. Select the 'CDMenuPro.exe' program from the list
  6. Click the 'Open' button
  7. The 'Run' Dialog "Open:" path will now be updated with the selection from the previous ste.
  8. Click 'OK' on the 'Run' Dialog
  9. The CD Menu Program will open
  10. To verify the proper media was selected, examine the Title Bar of the CD Menu Program which indicates which indicates the media version.


Installing PresencePLUS Customer Utilities

NOTE: Administrative rights are required when installing PresencePLUS Customer Utilities PC software on Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista

  1. Close all running PresencePLUS applications
  2. Insert the CD into the drive or unpack this media
  3. The CD Menu Program will automatically load (if menu program fails to load see Manual Loading of CD Menu)
  4. Locate the 'Installs' Section
  5. Click the 'PresencePLUS Utility Programs' menu option
  6. The PresencePLUS Customer Utilities installation program will launch
  7. Follow the instructions given by the installation program.

PresencePLUS Modbus / TCP Utility

  1. Introduction
    The Modbus/TCP utility is an ActiveX control and sample application to be used in conjunction with the Modbus/TCP feature of PresencePlus Vision Sensors. This feature allows the sensor to be controlled over TCP/IP using the Modbus/TCP protocol. The ActiveX control provided in this utility simplifies the creation of application programs that control the sensor using Modbus/TCP. The sample application is a working example of the use of the ActiveX control. This feature requires PresencePlus software 2006R3 or later.

  2. Installation
    The Modbus/TCP Utility is installed from the PresencePLUS installation media via the CD Menu Program. The utility includes:

  1. Introduction
    The Image Export utility is an ActiveX control and sample application to be used in conjunction with the Image Export feature of PresencePlus Vision Sensors. This feature allows inspection images from the sensor to be sent over TCP/IP to an application program. These images can then be displayed or saved to disk for archival purposes.The ActiveX control provided in this utility simplifies the creation of such application programs. The sample application is a working example of the use of the ActiveX control. This feature requires PresencePlus Software Release 2006R3 (or later).

  3. Guidelines
    For best performance when trying to communicate with multiple sensors at the same time please follow the guidelines below:
    1. Use a high-end modern computer.
    2. Network adapter on the computer should support at least 100 Mbps network traffic (1 Gbps preferred for high resolution images)
    3. Network adapter on the computer should be configured to full-duplex mode.
    4. All switches between the sensor and the computer should be Manaaged Switches capable of handling high network traffic.
    5. All ports on the switches should be configured to full-duplex mode (auto-negotiation may not provide enough throughput)

PresencePLUS Downloadable Inspections Utility

  1. Introduction
    The Downloadable Inspections utility is a software module to be used in conjunction with the Downloadable Inspections feature of PresencePlus Vision Sensors. This feature allows you to retrieve information about the sensor, start a new inspection, upload an inspection to the sensor, and download an inspection from the sensor. The software module provided in this utility simplifies the creation of application programs using this feature. The sample application is a working example of the use of the classes and methods contained in the software module. This feature requires PresencePlus software 2006R3 or later.
